The African beauty. Our African girl.
Sometimes we have to look things in another perspective and try to figure out how we can protect our girls, our tomorrow, our source, for a home without a girl is like a river without a source. Not that we forget about our boys but the life of a girl is at stake.
What if we stopped relying on the issues of the past and try to preserve her beauty, as traditions always try to connect us with the past forgetting that there is tomorrow to live. My point of view is that these beliefs aim at hurting people, complicating things and making people do the wrong as its so convincing while deceiving that the forbidden are unforbidden and sweet,
Why don't people read facts, move on with time and technology, forget the deeds of the past that no longer and will never help our 'tomorrow'.
Lets all hold hands to save our girl by protecting, educating, motivating, advising and maybe praying for her. Still creating awareness to the society members on the limitations in regard to some of traditional practices like F.G.M(female genital mutilation), early marriages and lack of education just to mention a few.
If only we can worry about the repercussions of all these and avoid them, surely our future will always leave us smiling.
