# Improve your mental diet.
Everything changes when you realize your diet isn’t just what you eat. It includes what you watch, read, who you follow, and spend time with. If you have a goal of having a healthier mind, start by removing the junk from your diet.
# Learn to let people down
Have you ever noted that if your mental health is not stable everything around you stumbles? Your mental health is more important than your career, money, other people's opinions, your close friends, and even your family's wishes. If your wellness means letting someone down then let them down ASAP.
# Set clear boundaries and protect them
You do not lose anything either friends, real relationships, opportunities by standing for yourself and setting clear boundaries. You lose narcissists, attention seekers, abusers, and selfish people.
# Make replacements.
Real self-care requires replacements. Netflix with sleep, non-building stories with books, complaints with gratitude, negativity with positivity, a toxic friend with your own self.
# Focus on your future not the past
Your mental health will not improve if you keep searching for happiness in the same toxic people and place you lost it. Leave toxic jobs, people and look forward to a better future.
# Stop self-rejecting.
So many people will try and stop you from reaching your potential but do not let them have power over you. Do not be scared to apply for a job because you fear rejection, apply be rejected, learn and move on. Speak out and be yourself no matter who is around you. You never know who is looking for what you are hiding.
Remember to be your own hero, embrace all your odds, stand with your values and watch yourself win.
