How long to wait to exercise after eating
Exercise plays a great role in the development of the body in all age groups. For children, parents are advised to exercise their limbs to improve muscle strength and as they grow we encourage them to play as a way to burn out excess energy and stretch out. As we get older exercise is utilized to promote muscle strength, good health, and fun. Although it is considered an important part of our day-to-day lives. Therefore how long should I wait after eating to exercise?
To be able to exercise after eating we are advised to take a break of 1-2 hours after a meal and 30 minutes after a snack.
The biggest question would be why should I take a break?
Exercising immediately after eating can slow down your ability to exercise effectively. Eating and exercising do not often go hand in hand due to the body needing time to function effectively. It may lead to bloating, nausea, cramping, reflux, vomiting, diarrhea, sluggishness, and potentially hinder performance
On the other hand, exercising an hour or two after eating protein and or carbohydrates can lead to higher performance.
One thing is clear, it is best to avoid meals just before exercise. therefore try and establish a routine that's beneficial and healthy. Exercise should at all costs build us rather than deter our day today.
remember exercise not only changes the body it builds the mind, attitude, and mood as well.
