It's finally the end of the year, a time we all look forward to but often feel should not appear. The year has been filled with challenges and triumphs. As we face the end of the year we will be celebrating the life we have, those we lost, and those that have joined us. As the Year progressed many fear their demise, some have made it while others did not. As we approach Thanksgiving we will appreciate how fargile life is and accept the smallest wins. Over the last two years, we have all realized that no man is an island.
We gained a new perspective that we all play a role in protecting each other. As we give thanks we also remember that those who are gone may they rest in peace.
We still have Christmas and the new year ahead of us. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It's especially special this year. One thing that we have learnt is that life is extremely fragile. As we wake up each day I realize that the gift of life is not a trade man can control. God gives and he takes. I thank him for my health and life as we celebrate the birth of his son.
As the new year arrives I will celebrate the willingness to face it. Tomorrow is the day I create history by walking into it with hope. As we look forward to the new day may we ask God for grace to face it, faith to wither it, and joy to celebrate it.
Remember "Happiness requires that we celebrate the positive sides of life. Peace requires that we accept both the positive and the negative outcomes of life and move on.” Terry Mark
